Tips, packing, transport, accounts to follow
Tips
- Make sure where you choose your lodging has a power generator (short-term rentals like Airbnb).
- Cash or ATH Movil are in most cases only methods for parking lots.
- There’s no Venmo, Zell, Cash App in PR businesses.
- Always compare pricing for similar goods and services before choosing.
- Arrive early at any beach (metro area or outside) if you need parking.
Transport
- If you’re planning to venture outside the metro area, rent a car. If you’d prefer not to drive, book private tours for specific trips with touring companies that arrange transportation (El Yunque Rainforest, the Caves, etc.)
- Parking in Puerto Rico is hard. If you want to explore San Juan early, arrive before 10am. After 5pm on weekends it becomes very hard.
- If you plan on being only in the metro area, it is best to Uber everywhere to not worry about parking.
Packing
- Bug spray for mosquitoes.

The business tradition was started by her great-grandfather, Issac Barquet, in 1920. Daniela graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor's in the History of Art and Architecture and a Minor in Italian Studies. Daniela continues to grow under the mentorship of her father, Natalio Barquet Perez, who is a renowned, certified jeweler in Puerto Rico.
